Tellius listed in Augmented Analytics and BI Search/Natural Language Query innovation categories
Tellius, the intelligent business analytics platform, announced today that it has been listed in the categories of Augmented Analytics and BI Search/Natural Language Query in Gartner’s “Hype Cycle for Analytics for Business Intelligence, 2018” (July 2018), “Hype Cycle for Data Science and Machine Learning, 2018” (July 2018), “Hype Cycle for the Digital Workplace, 2018” (July 2018), “Hype Cycle for CRM Sales, 2018” (July 2018), and “Hype Cycle for Life Science Research and Development, 2018” (July 2018).
In four of the reports, Gartner analysts Rita Sallam, Cindi Howson, and Carlie Idoine explain that, “Augmented analytics uses machine learning to automate data preparation, insight discovery, data science, and machine learning model development and insight sharing for a broad range of business users, operational workers and citizen data scientists. It is expanding insights by using AI to deliver analytics anywhere and for everyone in the organization with less time, skill and interpretation bias of current manual approaches.”*
Gartner further notes in its Hype Cycle for Analytics and Business Intelligence that “Search/NLQ data discovery technology can help drive adoption by users resistant to, or intimidated by, using traditional BI interfaces for interacting with data, but who are quite comfortable using a search engine to find the information they need.”
“Since our inception, Tellius has been an innovator in augmented analytics, extending the definition of a full-stack analytics platform to include machine learning and search-driven analytics to help companies gain value and insights from their business data faster and easier than with traditional data discovery and business intelligence (BI) tools,” said Ajay Khanna, Founder and CEO of Tellius. “We feel Gartner is spot on in identifying the emergence of augmented analytics, where data-driven organizations can increase adoption of analytics as much as 50 percent and cut down analysis time from hours to minutes. We’re honored to be included in these reports.”
According to Gartner, augmented analytics is a “Transformational” innovation that “can change the way organizations interact with information to such a degree that they have a demonstrable impact on organizations’ business models.” In addition, Gartner notes that both augmented analytics and BI search/natural language query have moved into the “Adolescent” stage of maturity, indicating that it has moved beyond early adopters in market adoption.
